I have sfu1605 ball screws on all axis for a 10 x 7 x 6(z) inch cnc using medium sized nema 23 and a nema 17 on the z and it is plenty fast. At top speed the gantry can travel the full 10 inches in about 4 seconds. I think the smaller pitch like with sfu1204 on the Z is ideal. I'm surprised you have such an agressive pitch on the x and y axis.
