After removing the gear box/ reel assembly, I pulled the pillow block off the right side reel. After removing the adjusting nut and washers, the reel slid right off. I was then able to slid the gear box off the shaft. after getting the gear box apart I was surprised to find the worm gear and bearing in great shape.
